Halloween weekend was full of events, many of them were of a sad nature. The weekend started with a horrific earthquake in the Aegean Sea, continued with gory act in Quebec and ended with a rather absurd event in Mexico. Europe, specifically Spain has been rattled with anti-lockdown protest, which in some incidents ended up in a battle with the Police.
The capital of Catalunya, Barcelona, was one of the hotspots of the protests, where a coalition of Small Business Owners, youth activists and educators came together to protest the new lockdown measures of the Spanish government. However, towards the end of protest, some attendants took it to the next level and started to throw stones, rip off and hurl Police barricades and looting stores.

One of the looters, Hussain, became an overnight star for stealing a bike from Decathlon, which was visible on CCTV and selling it online the next day, saying it was only used once. While media tried to find a scapegoat for the protests and blamed right-wingers and patriots, Hussain and his squad proved them wrong.
But Barcelona was not the only city in Spain blessed with anti-lockdown protests. Madrid, Burgos, Logroño, Malaga, the three capitals of the Basque Country and Santander.
Spanish Police reported that they arrested 53 people around the country. 33 in Madrid, 7 in Logroño, 5 in Santander, 4 in Igualada, 4 in Bilbao and one in Málaga and another in Ibiza. 12 Officers suffered injuries.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in a Tweet asked the Protestors for understanding of the situation and begged them to stop protesting and promised to consider their needs in the future. The latter will be hard to promise as the government decided to give more authority to the regions and municipalities.
Protestors noted that one reason for their outrage was Spanish Heath Minister Salvador Illa’s attendance at a large celebration, without wearing a mask and no possibilities for social distancing. It has been said that it reminded them on the ignorance shown by other Hypocrites like Nancy Pelosi who has been caught on camera walking around a hair salon in San Francisco without a mask.
